What Time is It in China?

Why does China - as large as it is, has only one time zone that they recognize. Is that the standard always or was that only during the Olympics, or do I really care and have no idea of what I am talking about? All I know is about here and now. Here I am in my wonderful home, and now I am typing this blog. Will I ever get to China and see all the mass producing factories? Will I ever sell out and ship l'Amore Intimo to China for production? Here and now that's a no -- later down the road who knows.

I'm tired, that's what I know.

My Prerogative

I think Bobby Brown and Britney Spears got something really right. It's tiresome at best when all I do is work work work -- 45 hours away from home and l'Amore during the day and then trying to catch up with the business that has captured my heart that is l'Amore Intimo the rest of the time, and of course everything else. My issue is the so called constructive criticism (that's more subjective than not) you are suppose to allow and accept as law, because someone has said it, makes a strong clanging noise when I am trying to juggle everything to achieve my goals.

I think instead of getting upset with others wanting to tell me what to do but never around when I need help in getting things done, I will consider "it's my prerogative". Listen up from YouTube.

Dodgers vs Phillies NLCS Game 5

It seems like only yesterday when the season opened. I was happy to have Manny on my fantasy team. My team was in first place for the longest time. Then Manny was sidelined for 50 games and Buddy stepped up. My Juan Pierre - I was able to pick him up for my fantasy team and life was good. Buddy maybe wasn't hitting the homeruns that Manny hit every now and then - but Buddy will always be my favorite player outside of my own kid. Then Manny came back and things stayed at an even keel, but the Dodgers were still the best team in the league - until tonight.

My Boys in Blue, my Baby Blues, my Buddy, my Dodgers laid their season to rest tonight with a 4 to 10 loss to the Phillies giving them the NLCS. Now I can debate about who they should trade during the off season and try to afford season tickets for next season. And in case you doubt -- I LOVE MY BOYS IN BLUE! May you all have a great off season full of learning and growing and joy.

Dodgers vs Phillies NLCS Game 4

Picture this... just sitting relaxing after a long day in the office and a refreshing revival at church and of course watching the recording of the game. I was pretty happy with the 4 to 2 score - Dodgers. Pretty happy until I got on the internet and on the yahoo home page there's a post "wild game ends in Phillies win". All I can say is dagnabbit.

Here's a smoke signal boys -- It's do or die tomorrow and for the rest of the series. If any team can pull it out, it's the Dodgers.

Dodgers vs Phillies NLCS Game 3

All I can say is that my Boys in Blue need a revival. Even though my mind was center on the speaker tonight at my church's revival and not on my Dodgers, I couldn't wait to get out of that crowded parking lot and home to watch the recording of the game.

I started the dvr and the recording was in the 5th inning. I was almost upset until I saw the score 0 to 6, Phillies. WOW. And as I forward threw the Phillies ups and watched the awkwardness of my Dodgers at bat I wished I was back at church. A cold night in Philly while I sit comfy here in LA proved fatal for the Dodgers who lost in this game 0-11. This series will more than likely go to 7 but playing against the Phillies will prepare them for the World Series.

Still love you Blue!

Dodgers vs Phillies NLCS Game 2

Buddy was the pinch runner who tied up the game in the bottom of the 8th! I'm watching the game late because I missed it while I was sitting in the fluorescent lit office all day. But the DVR works and I can forward commercials.

It's the top of the 9th and Broxton is on the mound trying t get the save. I know the outcome of the game already - my mom couldn't wait to tell me. My pride is how packed the house is this late in the game. Usually there's a mass exodus at the 7th inning stretch. But this is the playoffs and these are our Dodgers. GO BLUE!

Dodgers win 2 to 1

Dodgers vs Phillies NLCS Game 1

Win or lose I still love my boys in blue -- A LOT! No one can't fault them for coming ready to play, because they were. This proven by The Loney homer and the Manny 3 run homer. My only issue is the kid on the mound. Things fell apart in the 5th inning on the mound, and the boys had to fight back to almost come back 6 to 8. There's always tomorrow boys!

Oh and my Mom thinks James Loney is a cutie patootie. To that i say...

Double Tap!

Zombieland was one of those "check your brain at the theater door", or a "I feel much dumber now" flick. And can I honestly say, despite the bloody mess I had a fun night at the movies. Constant laughter throughout the movie hall. I think this could become the next Rocky Horror Picture Show.

I have always liked Woody Harrelson - he played this wild character named Tallahassee - and it was good to see him on the big screen again. I'm sure it was shot at a very reasonably low to mid budget price and will make plenty at the box office. I'd go see it again if someone asked and I don't like scary movies.

My recommendation is go see it tomorrow. It's free popcorn Tuesday.

Dodgers vs Cardinals Post Season Game 3

All the Dodger Fans in the house say ho!. Announcers from the game said Furcal was razzing Ramirez in the locker room today - telling him he was tired of seeing infield hits by Manny, and told him to go out there and hit like a man. Thank God somebody finally said it! Manny finally looked like Manny today after such a long time. I'll take it! Dodgers took it too. The boys in blue beat the Cardinals today 5 to 1, taking the NLDS. Now on to the NLCS and then the world series!

Dodgers vs Cardinals Post Season Game 2

Bottom of the 9th - 2 outs - Buddy (Juan Pierre) just scored from 2nd base off a hit from Belliard to tie up the score!!! I thought the game was coming on at 6PM but it came on at 3. That's ok because it's recording all Dodger baseball. Back to the game. Bases loaded - Mark Loretta up to pitch hit - he has not let us down all year!! Dodgers win it! 22 last at bat wins this season. My town!

GO BLUE!

Dodgers vs Cardinals Post Season Game 1

Matty came up second after Furcal, in the bottom of the 1st and hit the most perfect 2 run homer! That's when I knew the boys were here to play. And play they did all the way through the 9th inning. Final score 5 to 3.

Who showed up tonight to play? Everyone!
GO BLUE!

My Dodgertown

The Dodgers are back in town tomorrow for the post season opener! Since I won't be in Dodgertown I will enjoy the game in my favorite front row seat. And this web log will be dedicated to the post season for my Boys in Blue!

I love the Dodgers!

Definite Chill in the Air

Maybe it's the temperature outside that causes the temperature of people on their insides to rise of fall. It's a definite chill in the office today.

But on the lighter side of my personal spectrum, a big 8 legged freak just sauntered across my path. I stepped on it but the grooves on my shoe's sole allowed its escape. It honked in a corner for a breath and now its making its way back across my path. Its actually a black widow! Eek! And then it was no more.

That was exciting. Now back to the silent chill.

Get Back to The Magic

Today is Friday and Baseball still matters. My boys in blue had a day off yesterday and I have to admit, I needed that day off right with them. Torre is working out every scenario and nothing has been doing to trick these past couple of games. I’m feeling maybe the season has been to long but I hope and pray they get back to the magic we as Dodgers’ fans have become accustomed to seeing. Without it, my question would be - how long can they hold on to the post season?

I really don’t want to be so analytical when it comes to baseball and especially Dodgers baseball. Ultimately I would prefer to sit and relax - wind down from my day with the Dodgers. So I will leave the sport commentating alone and simply root root root for the home team.
