For Sale, Leasing Now, Now Renting...

and the signs go on and on and on and on...  These signs are everywhere.  An apartment complex that used to be 10 deep on the wait list now has a 2 bdrm, 2 bth, loft vacancy sign.  Given that this place is located right next door to a very high traffic DMV in Newhall the rent is under $1000!  It was tempting.  

My question is - where is everyone going?  Are there large and small families moving back home to Mom and Dad's?  And does an economic crisis affect the homeless or make more homeless?
