"Soooo, what did we learn in school today? "...

that line was delivered by Ned Gold, (Thomas Lennon) to which Mike O'Donnel (Zac Efron) replied "That I'm a bad dad".  That's the movie in a nut shell.  Kind of a "Peggy Sue Got Married" meets "Big" - wonder if they pitched it as such.  The title is really overused and darnit you can't copy right titles.  The Mowry twins starred in a tv movie titled 17 again.

Any how - movie reviews are back. Been away a while but back on the page now with "17 Again".  Although I'm rather perplexed considering that Vanessa Hudgens didn't star in this flick but has about as many press photos for the movie on IMDB.com than her beau Zac who received top billing.  Is that how you make it to the top?  Probably so.

I like these movies.  The premise is cliche - go back in time and redo something to back thing better.  Everyone wants a redo some time or another.  Mr.  Efron was quite convincing playing the dad who goes back to being 17 and gets to go to high school with his two kids.  He gets his face felt up by his soon to be ex or not, who thinks the new kid looks a lot like her husband at 17!  So uncanny!  Ok - I will swelter the sarcasm.

The film is cute and had me laughing quite often and wishing that I could get a redo.  I do understand now why Zac Efron no longer wants to do these teen movies - but he's no Shia - cute though.

Ciao Y'all

Movie still courtesy of IMDB.com and the film's distributors.
