Where Have All the Easter Bonnets Gone?

Remember days gone by when Easter Sunday was filled with beautiful Easter Hats?  I know my Mom made sure I had a new bonnet each year.  I frilly bonnet and pretty patent leather shoes.  I also remembering finally being old enough to wear panty hose instead of lace socks.  

Today I didn't see many bonnets -- where have they all gone?  DelMar racing track hosted more bonnets - a lot more - for their opening race day last season.  Maybe it's the casual demeanor of church goers here in Los Angeles.  They don't dress up the way they do on the east coast when they go to church.  Nothing wrong with that - it is what it is.
