...So says PAUL BLART: MALL COP. Rest assure y'all, when you are out spending all the money you don't have at your favorite mall, there is a mall cop who is pretty much qualified to protect the patrons who scale the miles of stores situated under one roof. OK, maybe not but the movie's funny! Why this film didn't come out during the holidays is anyone's guess who wasn't involved in the decision of releasing this film the 3rd weekend of January. The mall jacking takes place on the worst shopping day of the year - the dreaded black Friday. Then there is the posse of crooks which include perps that go by the names of Santa's reindeer -- all of whom were quite ninja like and x-gamish. Strange but yet entertaining.
Kevin James (Paul Blart) great in this! Very funny. Very big boned -- but still, very funny. In fact the only comment I heard about Mall Cop was that if any other actor had been cast, the movie would not have been as funny. Probably true. I think it's worth a laugh and it is #1 at the box office right now.
