YES WE CAN

Today after Church I went to the corner 7-Eleven, to pick up a bottled black ice tea from the refrigerator.   Paying at the counter I was told by the gentleman behind the counter that I was getting the same black tea that a great and wonderful man drinks every day.  I was like -- "okay?".  But then he insisted  on telling me how smart this man is and his name (as the guy pronounced) is "(b)merrackobamamomomona".  "What?"  I asked, but then getting a glimpse of the smile of honor on this clerk's face, I knew.  "Oh, Barack Obama" as I laughed and smiled back just as he pointed to the picture of Mr. Obama that was hanging on the wall behind him.  He then continued to tell me that this great and wonderful man who drinks the same black tea daily is going to be the next president.  

WOW!  We have a president who excites, or should I say ignites.  Never did I see a picture of Bush hanging up in a 7-Eleven.  Cool.  Way cool.

As we count down the hours - not many left - let's revisit when we were told by then a democratic candidate and now President Elect Barack Obama that "Yes We Can"...
